The Role
Our client is seeking a Design CAD Engineer with a civil engineering background to join their integrated design team. The successful candidate will support projects across the Yorkshire Water framework, from outline design through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects, using the latest CAD & BIM technology, while developing professionally within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Producing 2D & 3D CAD drawings for civil and drainage design
Working with Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM360 and Civils 3D
Preparing design solutions, drawings, reports, calculations & estimates
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients
Supporting surveys, data evaluation & GPS surveying (advantage)
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, CDM regs, ISO 9001
Staying updated with latest industry technologies & attending expos
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualification as a CAD Engineer with civil design experience
Strong knowledge of drainage design & water industry standards (WIMES, CIWEM, Sewer Sector Guidance)
Experience with BIM integration & hydraulic design principles
Excellent communication, teamwork & problem-solving skills
A proactive mindset with willingness to learn & develop
Full UK driving licence + own transport
