Site Engineer

Summary

The freelance Site Engineers will be responsible for identifying reinforcement within existing structures and coordinating timber roof panel fixing locations on a large construction project in Central London. They will be using Ferro Scanning equipment to survey for the RC frame through concrete walls, allowing sub-contractors to subsequently install timber panels. This role requires approximately 5 to 6 weeks of work, and previous experience with Ferro equipment is preferred but not essential – as it’s easy to pick up for experienced Site Engineers/Surveyors.

Skills

• Proficiency in using Ferro Scanner (preferred but not essential)
• Possession of CSCS Card
• Experience in large project Site Engineering or Surveying
• Knowledge of construction materials and methods
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Health and safety awareness

This role is with a Tier 1 main contractor on a freelance day rate inside of IR35, paying competitive Umbrella rates accordingly.
