Our client is seeking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor based at Coppermills, with hybrid working arrangements available. You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and be responsible for the Commercial Management of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quantity surveying duties related to managing projects and work packages.
- Collaborate with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyze, and control costs.
- Work with the client to ensure business requirements are met.
- Manage the main contract, ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and issued as necessary.
- Prepare and issue subcontract documentation.
- Assist in managing and evaluating subcontractor performance.
- Oversee the preparation and approval of payment applications.
- Prepare project cost and value reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Support the development of junior commercial staff.
- Maintain professional development through external networking, conferences, and industry groups.
- Maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach, providing honest feedback.
- Perform additional duties as required, consistent with the role's responsibilities.
- Represent the department professionally in all internal and external contacts, fostering positive relationships.
- Ensure confidentiality in all dealings.
About The Candidate
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Working towards or hold chartered membership of a recognized institution.
- Experience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors.
- NEC3 contract experience.
