Senior Health and Safety Advisor – Glasgow/projects across the Central Belt – £50k-£60k+car/car allowance (£5k)+ benefits package – major infrastructure projects across the region, supporting site teams and senior management. Senior Health and Safety Advisor required for a major infrastructure framework.
Responsibilities
- Understanding our approach to managing risk and delivering complex projects with excellent standards in Health, Safety and Environment.
- Maintaining a dynamic and driven approach to supporting Health and Safety across the region
- Supporting and developing a positive Health and Safety culture
- Organising audits and supporting the delivery of audits.
- Conducting accident/incident investigations and/or supporting investigations
- Integrating within the wider project teams to understand day to day challenges.
- Liaising with the central health and safety team.
- Highlighting opportunity for sustainable solutions.
- Trending and analysis of key performance data.
- Maintenance of our externally certified management systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience of working as part of a team within construction or engineering
- Ability to interpret legislation and Approved codes of Practise.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Good communicator who’s comfortable engaging at all levels within the organisation
- Confidence to make decisions whilst recognising when appropriate to escalate issues or concerns.
- Good Microsoft Office skills especially Visio, Excel and PowerPoint.
