Quantity Surveyor β Manchester or Leeds
Anderselite are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our clients commercial team in Manchester or Leeds, working on a variation of commercial type projects (not residential).
Your Responsibilities: β Procuring subcontract packages β Assembling and managing enquiry documentation β Obtaining and analysing subcontractor quotations, and making informed recommendations β Preparing and managing subcontractor order documentation β Overseeing payments to subcontractors β Commercial management of subcontract packages β Supporting the preparation of main contract valuations β Assisting with monthly and quarterly forecast reporting β Finalizing accounts for subcontract packages β Contributing to project risk and opportunity planning β Maintaining professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers β Identifying opportunities for design development to improve project delivery β Managing client valuations and variations through to final account agreement β Ensuring compliance with all contract requirements
What Were Looking For: β Experience working as a QS in the commercial sectors. β Experience working on post contract packages in the construction industry. β Experience in managing and working effectively within a team. β Degree-qualified and/or working towards MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent professional accreditation. β Comfortable working as a No.2 Surveyor within a commercial team, with a strong commitment to project success. β Positive, proactive approach with excellent collaboration skills. β Expert negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail. β Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. β Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. β Experience with BIM and computer-aided measurement tools.
β Extensive experience in: β Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts β Managing subcontract accounts and procurement β Adhering to company best practice procedures β Understanding health and safety regulations
