Design Manager
Location: Cookstown
Salary: Β£60,000-Β£70,000 per annum plus package (negotiable subject to experience)
Type: Full Time/Permanent/Hybrid 2-3 days in the office
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Design Manager to drive design excellence, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions that meet regulatory standards and project goals.
Responsibilities
– Oversee end-to-end design processes for water and wastewater treatment projects, from concept to delivery.
– Lead multidisciplinary design teams and supply chain partners, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
– Implement design performance management systems, set KPIs, and utilize Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to track design progress and initiate corrective actions.
– Ensure compliance with technical standards and CDM regulations, prioritizing health and safety in design.
– Manage design changes, assessing impacts on scope, cost, and timeline while maintaining robust change control processes.
– Oversee QA processes to ensure design documentation meets required standards.
– Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to align design solutions with project execution.
– Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and contractors to secure approvals and meet specifications.
– Monitor design budgets and resources, adjusting strategies to meet financial targets.
What we require from you
– 8 years experience in design management
– Bachelor\’s degree in engineering, Design Management, or related field. Chartered status or working towards will be a bonus.
– Familiarity with BIM, sustainable design principles, and project management certification (PMP or PRINCE2) is advantageous.
– Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex design solutions.
– Expertise in engineering disciplines, and design performance management.
– Expertise in water/waste water treatment (bonus)
