We are looking for an organised and motivated individual to work with our innovative biological crop protection products. Collaborating with both internal teams and our customers, you will be responsible for managing field trials and generating knowledge exchange material for existing and near to market technologies. This role will give you exposure to the complete product lifecycle from new concept screening trials, through registration support, product launch and lifecycle management. You will be involved in planning, executing and reporting trials as well as marketing and customer support.
Our most important criteria is that you share our passion for establishing sustainable solutions in mainstream agriculture and horticulture. This position can be moulded around whether you are a new graduate or join the team with more experience. You should be comfortable working both on your own or as part of a team, enjoy practical work and be enthusiastic about biological control products and our growing industry.
Technical Development Role and Responsibilities:- Planning, executing and reporting product trials both in field and laboratory.
- Collaborating with both internal and external partners.
- Assist our customers to understand and use our biologicals and sustainable products in the UK agricultural and horticultural crop markets.
- Lead customer engagement through writing content, site visits, supporting our stand at relevant industry events and product presentations.
- Attend internal and external meetings to present technical product information.
- A passion for research and running field trials.
- Minimum of degree level in Agriculture, Horticulture, Biology or related subject.
- Ideally a BASIS Commercial Horticulture qualification. If you do not already have this, we will support you through this training as part of an agreed personal development plan.
- Good understanding of technical product requirements and analysis of data.
- Willingness to travel, mostly within the UK. There will be opportunities to travel internationally to Andermatt Group technical meetings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Current driving licence.
