About The Events Head Chef Role
As Head Chef of our Private Dining & Events Kitchen, you will lead the culinary delivery across 14 event spaces, covering conferences, weddings, private dining, and large-scale events. You will ensure flawless execution, creativity, and operational excellence while maintaining the highest Hyatt brand standards. This role will work in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef.
Key Responsibilities Of The Events Head Chef
- Oversee planning and execution of all event food production, ensuring consistency, quality and timely delivery across multiple concurrent events.
- Lead, develop and inspire the kitchen brigade, creating clear structure, accountability and strong service leadership during peak operations.
- Collaborate closely with Events and F&B teams to translate event briefs into commercially viable, creative menus.
- Drive food cost control, labour efficiency, and waste management in line with budgeted KPIs.
- Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and brand standards across all event production areas.
- Monitor guest feedback and operational performance, implementing improvements that enhance both experience and profitability.
About You
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within high-volume events or large hotel operations. A structured, hands‑on leader with strong operational control, able to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional culinary standards in a fast-paced environment.
