Love people? Obsessed with great spaces? Thrive on making things run like clockwork? Then you might just be our next Workplace Experience Coordinator on a 12-month fixed term contract—aka the friendly face, the fixer, the vibe-creator, and the behind-the-scenes legend who makes our workspaces feel like home. This isn’t your average front-of-house role. It’s a dynamic, hands-on, people-first position where no two days are the same.
You’ll be the friendly face that welcomes everyone to “The Place” (our central hub) and our other hubs across Yorkshire. You’ll be the go-to person for making things run smoothly, solving problems before they become problems, and creating a workplace experience that’s warm, welcoming, and wonderfully efficient.
What you’ll be getting up to:
- Creating amazing first impressions: You’ll be the first smile people see when they walk through the door—whether they’re colleagues, clients, or visitors. You’ll help people feel at home, navigate the space, and get what they need—fast. You’ll manage bookings, greet guests, and be the friendly, knowledgeable point of contact for all things “hub.”
- Keeping things running: From tech glitches to meeting room setups, you’ll be the fixer who makes things happen. You’ll work closely with our IT, Facilities, Health & Safety, and People teams to keep everything ticking. You’ll become a hybrid meeting hero—making sure the tech works and everyone feels included, whether they’re in the room or dialling in.
- Making spaces shine: You’ll keep our hubs looking and feeling their best—tidy, stocked, and ready for action. You’ll monitor everything from coffee stations to washrooms and jump in when something needs attention (yes, even if that means cleaning a loo now and then). You’ll travel across Yorkshire to support our other hubs, making sure every space reflects our values and vibe.
- Admin with impact: You’ll handle post, supplies, bookings, and invoices like a pro. You’ll manage inboxes, respond to queries, and keep everything running behind the scenes. You’ll support events, charity initiatives, and workplace wellbeing activities that bring people together and make a difference.
Here’s what you’ll bring to the party:
- A natural warmth and a genuine passion for helping people.
- Experience in delivering top-notch service (hospitality, retail, events—whatever your background).
- Super-organised with a sharp eye for detail—you notice the little things that make a big difference.
- Tech-savvy and curious—you’re not afraid to learn new systems or troubleshoot on the fly.
- A proactive, can-do attitude—you’re the kind of person who sees something that needs doing and just gets it done.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle—you’ll be out and about supporting our hubs across Yorkshire.
Why you’ll love working here:
At Yorkshire Housing, we’re not just about bricks and mortar—we’re about people, purpose, and possibility. We live by our values:
- Create trust – Be honest, open, and do what you say.
- Be curious – Ask questions, think differently, and keep learning.
- Make it happen – Own it, do it, and be empowered.
- Achieve impact – Do things that matter and show pride in what you do.
- Have fun – Be yourself, enjoy work, and stay connected.
We’re building a culture where everyone feels welcome, supported, and free to be themselves. And we’re serious about equality, diversity, and inclusion—because we know we’re better when we reflect the communities we serve.
If you’re all about creating great experiences, love a bit of variety, and want to work somewhere that values people and purpose—we want to hear from you.
The important bits:
This is a full-time (35 hours per week), 12-month fixed term contract with a salary of £30,218.12 per annum, for a 35 hour week plus 26 days annual leave (rising annually to 31 days) plus Bank Holidays. We offer a reward package to suit everyone. At YH, you can claim back for prescriptions, eye tests and more with our cash plan, make the most of a variety of retail discounts and take advantage of our pension scheme where we’ll match your contributions up to 9%, just to name a few. Our people’s health and wellbeing are one of our top priorities, and you can make the most of our readily available wellbeing support package. This includes access to a library of free fitness classes, as well as an instant My GP service and free counselling sessions with a trained professional.
