About Yorkshire Housing
Here at Yorkshire Housing our customers are at the heart of what we do – we are not just your typical housing provider! In a nutshell, we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and our mission is to make it possible for current and future tenants to have a place they’re proud to call home. We’re all about the customer and our service doesn’t stop once the keys are in the door.
What you will be doing...
- Routine patrols and inspections across ‘your patch’.
- Emptying void properties (lifting / handling required).
- Carrying out ad-hoc maintenance work, such as lock changes or jet washing.
- Driving the cage van from time to time (training provided).
- Assisting with garden spruce ups as needed.
You will primarily work in South/West Yorkshire, but may need to travel around Yorkshire from time to time!
What’s in it for you...
We offer a salary of £25,875 for 35 hours a week and 26 days of annual leave (rising annually to 31 days), plus bank holidays. You’ll get a van and fuel card for work purposes only, so you’ll need a driving licence.
Our reward package includes:
- Claim back for prescriptions, eye tests and more with our cash plan.
- A variety of retail discounts.
- Pension scheme where we’ll match your contributions up to 9%.
One of our biggest priorities is the wellbeing of our staff, and you can make the most of our readily available wellbeing support package. This includes access to a library of free fitness classes, an instant My GP service, and free counselling sessions with a trained professional.
Ideally, we are looking for people who can hit the ground running, so you’ll have worked in similar maintenance roles, preferably within social housing. Great customer service skills are essential, and we want someone who is proud to carry out their work to ensure our customers have safe and clean spaces.
It’s really important to us that our workforce reflects the diverse communities we serve and is committed to building an inclusive workplace. We welcome applications from all parts of the community.
