Technical and Compliance Officer – Adaptations Team
Help people live independently in homes that work for them.
From wet rooms and specialist equipment through to larger home extensions, you will take ownership of adaptation projects from start to finish, helping customers live safely, comfortably and independently.
The role combines technical expertise, project management and stakeholder collaboration, with plenty of variety and the chance to see the real impact of your work every day.
Responsibilities
- Deliver adaptation projects including wet rooms, extensions and specialist equipment installations.
- Manage projects from initial customer consultation through to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant and of a high standard.
- Work closely with customers, contractors, occupational therapists and local authorities.
- Manage project budgets, timelines and risks.
- Oversee contractor performance and quality standards on site.
- Lead on specialist equipment compliance and adaptation accreditation requirements.
- Be the trusted technical expert for colleagues and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Relevant building qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Experience delivering disability adaptation projects.
- Knowledge of planning processes and building regulations.
- Experience managing contractors and project delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems proactively.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Yorkshire.
