We’re looking for an exceptional Risk and Assurance Manager to help shape a confident, forward‑thinking approach to risk, data protection and assurance.
You’ll play a vital role in smart decision making, protecting what matters most and building a secure future for our customers.
What you’ll be doing
In this role you will lead our data protection, risk and assurance work, ensuring compliance while keeping solutions practical and fit for purpose.
You will own the risk and controls framework, oversee data protection and business continuity processes, and manage internal audit activities.
You will provide clear insight and assurance to senior leaders and the Board, helping the business learn, improve and focus on what matters most to our customers.
You will also coach and develop a high‑performing team, collaborating across the organisation to build risk and data protection capability throughout Yorkshire Housing.
Qualifications
- Strong experience across data protection, risk and assurance, with the confidence to guide and support the business.
- Experience leading and developing a team, bringing people together and helping them thrive.
- Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills across all levels.
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable guidance for the Board, senior leaders and colleagues.
- Clear, down‑to‑earth communication style, with an organized, approachable attitude and a track record of delivering results.
- Strong prioritisation skills and attention to detail.
- A genuine customer‑obsessed mindset that continually seeks ways to improve our work.
