We're looking for a People and Culture Advisor to join our People team. If you love helping managers do the right thing, supporting colleagues through the tricky stuff (and the everyday stuff), and you've got a good working knowledge of employee relations and UK employment law, you might be just who we're after.

Responsibilities
- First point of contact for managers, giving clear, people‐first advice and support.
- Ensure colleagues have a great experience at Yorkshire Housing, including:
- A new colleague
- Going through change
- Needing support with health and wellbeing
- Working through something more formal (performance, absence, conflict or conduct)
- Coach managers to handle people matters in a way that fits our adult‐to‐adult, customer‐obsessed culture.
- Spot patterns and themes (absence, turnover, culture indicators) and use insights to improve the colleague experience.
- Get involved in business‐wide projects such as health and wellbeing, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and colleague forums and networks.
Qualifications
- Proactive, can‐do, customer‐obsessed approach.
- Confident, calm communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Solid experience in employee relations, with a focus on early and informal resolution.
- Up‐to‐date knowledge of UK employment law and the ability to explain it in plain English.
- Ability to work well independently while also being a team player.
- Great organisational skills and attention to detail.
- CIPD Level 5 (or part‐qualified) and associate CIPD membership.

- Experience working comfortably in an agile and remote environment
