THE OPPORTUNITY:
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who lives and breathes social growth. Not someone who “just posts content”, but someone who thinks like a publisher looking for ways to grow engagement, views and followership.
You’ll work across two of AND THE NEW’s leading motorsports clients – new, global challenger motorsport series with plans for fast expansion. You’ll be the person pressing publish, running the schedule, spotting what’s working, and constantly iterating.
This is a role for someone who is:
- Genuinely excited by planning, scheduling and publishing social content
- Obsessed with algorithms, retention, repeat views, hooks, and content packaging
- Calm and organised even when the pace is intense
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Social publishing and schedule ownership
- Own the content calendar and day-to-day publishing across key channels such as IG, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.
- Manage approvals (internal + client + self-approval for day-to-day reactive content).
- Maintain high standards in captions, thumbnails, titles, hooks, formatting, and “platform dressing”.
- Build run-of-show plans for event days and always-on schedules, manage approvals, and drive volume with quality.
- Capture content on the ground at events (primarily mobile-first; DSLR is a bonus).
- Edit and publish fast “in-the-moment” content (CapCut / Premiere / in-app).
- Brief and collaborate with the in-house studio for higher-end edits and larger content builds.
- Play a leading role in live social coverage in high-pressure environments (rights-holder level).
- Turn algorithm understanding into execution: retention, repeat views, watch time, series formats, collabs, community mechanics, testing.
- Suggest and run experiments (packaging tests, hook tests, format tests, distribution loops).
- Monitor performance daily and adapt the plan quickly based on learnings.
- Shape tone-of-voice to fit the audience and drive engagement.
- Spot community trends, fan conversations and moments we should jump on.
- Help keep channels sharp, responsive and culturally tuned in.
- Travel internationally for motorsport race attendance and content creation.
- Flexible work required during key event periods (including weekends and evenings).
- Support the Account Director and the wider team with weekly client calls, reporting, and proactive ideas that protect and grow client relationships.
- Be the person who makes delivery feel seamless: organised, reliable, solutions-first.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3–5 years’ experience in social media (agency, publisher, or sports/entertainment brand) with experience in a live sport / event social coverage structure.
- Proven ability to run content calendars and publishing at pace.
- Deep platform understanding (Instagram/TikTok/YouTube/Facebook) and how algorithms actually behave.
- Comfortable creating, editing and publishing content quickly (mobile-first).
- Excellent communication and calm organisation, especially when operating remotely.
- Strong operational brain: planning, timelines, approvals, workflow, and making teams run well.
- Willing to travel internationally and work flexibly during event periods.
- Positive energy, proactive mindset, and the confidence to own channels day-to-day.
- Be creatively minded with a passion for experimenting with new ideas and concepts.
NICE TO HAVES (BIG PLUS)
- Experience working in motorsport.
- Experience operating DSLR camera for content creation.
BENEFITS
- 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays + birthday off.
- Hybrid working (minimum 2 days in Central London office per week).
- International travel opportunities to races and global events.
- Employee Lifestyle and Discounts Benefits scheme.
- Annual training budget to drive your personal development and continual learning in an area of your choice.
- Free on-site gym membership.
- Free in-office barista coffee.
- Enrolment into the agency-wide profit-sharing bonus scheme.
- Opportunity to grow with a rising agency making award-winning work.
