Role: We are seeking a Technical lead (hands-on Architect and Engineering Leader) to lead on a complex modernisation programme.

Your Technical Fluency:

  • You lead by example. While your primary focus is client delivery, you maintain the technical depth required to guide work end-to-end from initial architecture through to production and operational run.
  • Engineering: Full stack experience across several languages & data including; Java and React. An advanced understanding of engineering practices such as pair programming, TDD, security by design, observability, resiliency and disaster recovery, AI use in development with tools like CoPilot/Claude, and a general shift left approach.
  • Cloud Experience: You possess expertise across the Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud ecosystem, adopting cloud-native approaches like serverless and event-driven architectures, and managing diverse Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) workloads. Your approach is strongly guided by the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and the Well-Architected Framework (WAF).
  • DevOps Practices: You are fluent in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration, with hands-on experience across a broad technology range.
  • Security & Governance: You understand Zero Trust architecture principles and have practical experience with compliance, FinOps, observability, BCDR, monitoring, logging, and SIEM.
  • Architecture Design: You produce clear, considered architectural documentation, HLDs, LLDs, ADRs, and can lead solutions workshops, articulating complex ideas confidently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications: Hold, or be willing to achieve, relevant solutions-focussed certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar).
