We are hiring for a contract User Researcher to start ASAP for a 6 month contract. The role is completely remote.
Start date: 1st June 2026

What you’ll bring to the table:
- Demonstrable experience working as a User Researcher in the public sector.
- Be able to direct research methodologies, research strategy, etc.
- Needs to be able to deal with uncertainty and adaptability.
- Need to be able to work with others effectively as part of a team.
- Passion for conducting inclusive and robust research.
- Ability to define appropriate research activities to help meet strategic objectives and deliver products and services.
- Creative and engaging approach to presenting research findings to a variety of audiences.
- Knowledge of the technologies used to build and operate digital services, including innovative and emergent technologies.
- Experience of working to the GDS standards, across multiple stages of the delivery lifecycle.
- Public sector knowledge or experience in particular the GDS standards.
- Understanding of agile approaches and experience of working in agile teams.
- Experience of research in a policy context.
- Understanding and experience of the GDS Process.
