ABOUT US

Ancient + Brave is a female founded, mission-driven wellness brand with an award-winning range of collagen, supplements and functional blends. Rooted in ancient wisdom and validated by science, our simple daily rituals support our community in nurturing whole body health. Ancient + Brave has been recognised in The Sunday Times 100 fastest-growing private companies for three consecutive years - most recently placing 7th - and ranked 4th in the Oresa Retail Growth Index in 2025. It's a reflection of the quality of what we build, the community we serve, and the discipline with which we operate. Social and environmental responsibility has always been at the heart of the business and woven into how we operate. We're a certified B Corp, a member of 1% for the Planet, and through the Made By Brave Foundation we direct 1%+ of all revenue to environmental and social causes. As an equal-opportunity employer we are committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace culture, where we are brave, connected and intentional - and lead with integrity.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Global Marketing Director to lead how Ancient + Brave shows up across our Global markets. You will set the marketing vision for the heartland in the UK and expansion into both the USA and EU. You will lead the teams that deliver it, and make sure our brand and our values are felt in every campaign, event and conversation. Reporting to our Global Chief Marketing Officer, you will lead a team spanning UK marketing, PR, events, and our Spain and Germany markets, and work hand in hand with the Creative Director, Content Lead, Production and US Marketing division to keep one brand voice around the world. This role suits someone who loves both shaping the strategy and making it happen.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the marketing strategy for the UK and EU and input into the US marketing priorities and tie it to Ancient + Brave's commercial goals.
  • Champion the consumer, the trial barriers and explore key shopper insights.
  • Lead integrated campaigns across brand, content, digital, PR, events and partnerships, from first brief to in-market results.
  • Evolving the UK centric brand origins to adapt, fit and resonate beyond a UK only audience.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a team spanning UK marketing, PR, events and our Spain and Germany markets as well as our US team (~20 people).
  • Identify skills gaps across the team and build a plan to train and address them: training, coaching, development paths and stretch opportunities that grow the next generation of marketing leaders here.
  • Ensure clarity on timings, forward planning, strategy and help make sure each employee is clear on the objectives, their role and defining successful leadership, process and end output and results.
  • Champion your team and their work across the business: give their contribution visibility, represent marketing at senior level and make the case for the resource and investment the function needs.
  • Adapt global ideas for local markets without losing what makes us, us.
  • Executional excellence is key to ensure the founder vision is brought to market across touchpoints in the most powerful, holistic and dynamic approaches.
  • Make our B Corp status and values a real part of the story, not a badge.
  • Own the marketing budget and make sure every pound earns its place.
  • Train the organisation to consider full funnel planning, holistic amplification, tentpole planning and executional advanced planning.
  • Lead the ROI consideration for campaigns.
  • Work daily with the Creative Director, Brand + Production Team and our US and EU Marketing Teams so our brand voice is consistent in every market.
  • Partner with the Global Chief Marketing Officer, founder and senior leadership team on growth plans, and work closely with sales, product, HR and finance.
  • Manage agencies, freelancers and external partners.
  • Set clear measures, track what is working as evolving process optimisations and report to senior leadership, feeding what you learn back into the next plan.
  • Build the budget planning and track and oversee the budget.
  • Be the expert on brand insights and the trends going on within the category and the wider zeitgeist.

WHO YOU ARE

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:

  • Substantial marketing leadership experience with a consumer brand, ideally in wellness, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or direct-to-consumer (DTC).
  • A track record of delivering integrated campaigns across brand, PR, events and digital, from first brief to in-market results.
  • Experience leading marketing across several international markets. Ideally experience working and living in America or at least with America.
  • A confident people manager who has built and developed strong teams.
  • A leader who sets direction and decides fast, even when the picture is incomplete.
  • Comfortable holding others to account and removing blockers so delivery keeps moving.
  • Quick to take feedback and adapt, leading with low ego and high impact.
  • Commercially sharp, with tight budget management and an eye for where money works hardest.
  • Excellent storytelling, with the presence to work with senior leaders and our founder.
  • A natural collaborator who builds trusted relationships across creative, marketing and commercial teams.
  • Energised by scale-up pace, where structure is still being built and you get to shape it.
  • Real care about purpose-led business, with experience of impact storytelling that avoids greenwashing.
