Ancient Remedies is a DTC wellness brand built around a flagship product. We've scaled primarily through direct-response funnels and continuous A/B testing, and we're now pivoting toward a branded operation — growing AOV and LTV, building out organic Shopify, and evolving from a single hero SKU into a broader catalogue. We're hiring a Head of Ecommerce to own the conversion engine end-to-end through that transition.

This role owns:

  • Revenue-per-visitor across the storefront and funnels, and the shape of the offer itself.
  • Setting the testing roadmap across sales pages, upsells, checkout, and landing pages.
  • Sourcing and validating new angles, new formats, and better offers.
  • Leading the technical implementation of those tests.
  • Owning error handling and QA across the stack.

The Team: They'll inherit an existing team across strategy, copy, development, and design, with room to build it out wherever they see gaps.

Reports to: one of the Founders and handles the handoffs with our external email/SMS agency and internal engineering team on pixel integrity, tracking, and order-sync.

The right person is:

  • Obsessed with optimization and the process side of it — someone who instinctively sets up the systems, rituals, and scorecards that guarantee continuous improvement across every surface they own.
  • Has run a meaningful DTC ecommerce operation before at comparable scale, with real operator experience in both a major ecommerce platform and a funnel-builder.
  • Knows direct-response cold and has a credible view on moving a business from pure DR into something more durably branded.
  • Lives in the data — ROAS, CVR lift, stat-sig — and can walk through their test-prioritization framework in the first call.
  • Comfortable managing a distributed team across time zones and creatively literate enough to tell good copy from bad even though they won't be writing it.

Must-haves:

  • Own all CRO - new funnel builds, optimization of existing funnels, full test pipeline.
  • Grow CM/1 contribution.
  • Establish and own tracking + reporting - accurate, useful metrics that depict success/failure honestly.
  • Establish and own the critical checklist - tax collection, order passback, QC, page integrity, the technical baseline that must always work.
  • Build a self-improving testing system - quality of tests, hit rate, and quality of new angles / bundles / upsells all rise quarter over quarter.
  • Team management - workflows, hiring, growing or firing, until a quality bar is met across every role.
  • Own the Shopify site - previously neglected; now a real conversion surface.
  • Take over the in-house funnel transition.
  • Customer signal intake from CS, comments, reviews flowing into the testing roadmap.
  • Cross-department interfaces - clear handoffs with Email/SMS, Engineering, Supply, Product, Compliance.
  • Pipeline for external requests into CRO.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary - Benchmarked to market rate with regular reviews as we grow.
  • Performance bonuses - Your results are recognized and rewarded. We celebrate people who move the needle.
  • Fully remote - Work from wherever you do your best thinking. No commute, no compromise.
  • Flexible hours - Async-friendly and autonomy-driven. We care about output, not when you’re online.
  • 22 days PTO - 22 days paid holiday plus 4 paid sick days — no questions asked.
  • WFH equipment budget - One-time budget to get your home office set up with the IT equipment you need from day one.
  • Learning budget - Annual allowance for courses, books, and anything that helps you grow.
  • Real ownership - At 100 people, your work has direct impact. No bureaucracy, no waiting for permission.
  • A team that cares - Genuinely warm, highly productive people who show up for each other as much as for the work.
  • Room to grow - We’re scaling fast. The role you start in today can grow into something much bigger tomorrow.
