Ancient + Brave is a female founded, mission-driven wellness brand with an award-winning range of collagen, supplements and functional blends. Rooted in ancient wisdom and validated by science, our simple daily rituals support our community in nurturing whole body health.

Social and environmental responsibility has always been at the heart of the business and woven into how we operate. We're a certified B Corp, a member of 1% for the Planet, and through the Made By Brave Foundation we direct 1%+ of all revenue to environmental and social causes.

This role is a critical role in a team at the centre of our UK success. In a fast paced paid media landscape, our creator funnel is growing and we are looking for someone who can help us to scale it thoughtfully and robustly in partnership with our paid media teams.

We are looking for someone with excellent contracting and negotiation skills who is able to manage a large number of creators - from macro to micro talent - delivering across a range of contract types from annual retainers to flat fees to deliver content and assets at scale to hit defined budgets and targets each month.

This is a commercially focused role for a skilled negotiator. The right person will be excellent at building good relationships with creators and managers, with a focus on delivering brand-aligned content into paid channels at strong unit economics.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Deliver the UK pipeline
  • Own the briefing and delivery of monthly UK creator concept volume across all tiers, on time and to brief
  • Source and qualify creators against clear selection criteria and brand standards set by the Head of Creator & Affiliate, building a deep pipeline that is not dependent on a small number of names
  • Build and maintain a live view of the pipeline: who is contracted, who is briefed, what is in production, what has landed, and where the gaps are as well as building a future pipeline, constantly scanning the landscape for strategically aligned talent
  • Work with the creative and production teams where needed to ensure shoot days and production for retained talent are delivered to plan
  • Negotiate and close creator deals at high frequency, working to agreed frameworks with rate cards and templates to enable scale and efficiency
  • Independently consider and secure necessary paid usage rights we need for whitelisting, licence duration, renewals and any exclusivity, always seeking the very best value for the business
  • Keep clear contract records, rights expiry dates and renewal points in order, so all teams are clear what can run and for how long as well as planning ahead for renewals
  • Track cost per concept against plan, and manage and optimise for drift, working closely with the paid performance team to evolve and optimise as channels require
  • Manage the UK creator budget day to day and ensure you are always ready to give a clear view on how volume is tracking to budget as well as being ready to innovate and optimise if things are not where they should be
  • Work with performance teams to ensure all creator level data is up to date and robust before using this to support decision making and make recommendations to The Head of Creator and Affiliate on creator performance and optimisation
  • Bring evidence to decisions: who should move up, who should come out, who we are overpaying
  • Collaborate to optimise
  • Work with the Performance Creative Strategist to ensure briefs reflect what the account needs, and with the performance team on what is working to further optimise as required
  • Ensure all contracted talent produce the required asset volumes and work with marketing teams to ensure any non-performance needs are accounted for
  • Feed suitable creators into the affiliate programme and work with the Affiliate team in onboarding them
  • Share what you learn with the EU and US talent managers so the three markets are running one system rather than three

What we're looking for

  • Experience contracting creators or influencers at volume with significant numbers of deals closed monthly in previous roles across multiple contract types.
  • A strong understanding of paid social and how creator content performs in it, with Meta as the core platform, including whitelisting and Spark Ads
  • A confident negotiator, you are comfortable with fee conversations, agents and managers, and saying no when the numbers don’t stack up.
  • Commercially numerate. You can talk about cost per asset, budget tracking and where the money is going and are confident interpreting data for yourself
  • Exceptionally organised. Happy to manage large (30+) live conversations per month and have a demonstrable ability to build the systems (AI and beyond) to support this

WHO YOU ARE

  • You see creators as a commercial channel. You like them, you look after them, but you negotiate hard on behalf of the businesses you represent
  • You are excellent with people. Creators and managers want to work with you again, and that is how you manage to negotiate excellent terms
  • You are excellent at laying out reasonable rationale for the terms you require, you don't try to short change creators, you understand the value exchange brilliantly and articulate that clearly and fairly to those you work with
  • You work at pace without dropping balls. Nobody has to chase you for a contract or an asset and your data is always up to date.
  • You’re curious about what makes creator content perform, and you use that knowledge and curiosity to develop a better pipeline each month
  • You want to build the commercial side of your skill set, not just the relationship side
