We are looking for a Creative Strategist to join Ancient + Brave and help build our performance marketing engine in-house. This role sits at the intersection of insight and ideas—translating data, audience understanding and product truths into compelling creative strategies and briefs that drive results. Working closely with the Performance Marketing and Brand teams, you will shape the creative direction of our paid social activity, from identifying angles and building frameworks to writing high‑impact copy across all formats. The ideal candidate is both analytically curious and creatively ambitious, able to read the numbers, identify the opportunity and turn it into a concept worth making.
What You'll Be Doing
- Insight‑Led Creative Strategy
- Translate performance data, audience insights and testing learnings into clear creative strategies and opportunities.
- Identify the most compelling angles, messages and territories for paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok and emerging platforms.
- Build and maintain a creative testing framework that enables rapid iteration and learning.
- Stay ahead of platform trends, cultural moments and competitor creative to bring fresh thinking to the team.
- Creative Briefing & Concepting
- Own the briefing process for all performance creative, writing clear, inspiring briefs that translate strategy into action.
- Develop multiple creative routes quickly, balancing brand storytelling with direct response needs.
- Ideate concepts for paid social across formats including UGC, statics, motion and product‑focused content.
- Work closely with designers, editors and external creators to bring ideas to life.
- Copywriting & Messaging
- Write performance‑driven copy for ads, hooks, headlines, body text and CTAs.
- Develop messaging frameworks that can be tested and iterated across audiences and formats.
- Ensure all copy is aligned with Ancient + Brave's tone of voice while optimised for conversion.
- Creative Pipeline & Collaboration
- Support the development of a scalable creative production pipeline.
- Work across Performance, Brand and Creative teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Comfortable using AI tools to support ideation and creative at scale.
Who You Are
- Proven experience in a creative strategy, performance creative or content strategy role—ideally within a D2C brand (wellness, beauty, lifestyle or FMCG a plus).
- Strong understanding of what drives creative performance on Meta and TikTok.
- Demonstrable copywriting ability across short‑form, high‑impact formats.
- Ability to think strategically and execute creatively—comfortable operating at both levels.
- Experience building or managing a creative testing process.
- Confident working cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong creative judgement paired with commercial thinking.
- Insight‑driven, creative and intellectually curious.
- Proactive and comfortable working autonomously.

Work Arrangements
This is an office‑based role at our Lewes headquarters. The position is full‑time and office‐full‑time. Candidates must be within a reasonable commute to Lewes.
