THE ROLE
The Content Lead will set the editorial standard for our brand, taking responsibility for quality and consistency of all brand content across organic social, newsletters, journals, and copy. An excellent writer able to do the work themselves and a sharp editor, this individual will collaborate with our nutrition and science teams making sure all content has cut through impact as well as scientific and nutritional leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Brand copy and editorial standards
- Write and sub-edit brand copy across all formats: social, newsletters, campaign copy, website, email, and brand communications
- Set and hold the editorial standard across all A+B content; this role acts as the voice and the quality bar ensuring copy in all touchpoints is on brand.
- Sub-edit brand journals and other content which is created by the nutrition team: ensuring scientific depth meets brand voice, and that every piece is as compelling as it is accurate
- Bring a genuine sub-editor's instinct to the work: structure, rhythm, precision, and the ability to move someone writing forwards whilst retaining the uniqueness of their voice
- Oversee organic social content strategy across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and any new platforms, being accountable for always-on content that keeps A+B at the forefront of culture and wellness
- Developing and overseeing an EGC (employee-generated content) strategy, developing a consistent approach to how the A+B team shows up authentically across channels and building the power of the team as a brand building engine
- Oversee community engagement and management, working with the Community Manager to ensure responses and interactions are on-brand and on-voice and working in partnership with the customer team to develop a powerful online community that drives brand and commercial outcomes
- Own strategy and delivery for brand newsletters across all four markets (UK, Germany, Spain, US) developing an editorial calendar, planning content, writing, and overseeing high quality output.
- Ensure each newsletter balances brand consistency with local market relevance and working with the CRM team to design a malleable newsletter structure to support multiple contexts
- Work with the international marketing teams to understand what each market needs and brief accordingly
- Plan and deliver campaign email content as required across all markets, working in partnership with Marketing, Nutrition, Science and Innovation and CRM teams to identify, plan and write all content
- Work with the Nutrition and Science & Innovation teams as experts and creative partners to plan and develop both the strategy and each piece, utilising their expertise as a brand USP that goes far beyond compliance.
- Brief and shape science-led content ideas with the teams, drawing on their expertise to produce original, credible, useful and inspiring content for our audiences
- Develop a working rhythm that makes content collaboration a natural part of how the brand produces ideas
- Translate complex nutritional and ingredient science into compelling, accurate, brand-appropriate content across all formats
- Line-manage the Senior Social Media Manager and Community Manager setting clear briefs, reviewing content, and driving progression in the team
- Work closely with the Creative Director on content direction and the wider creative team on campaign-led content
- Partner the PR team on content that bridges earned and owned channels
