Job Summary
ANCI Group Limited is seeking an experienced and dependable Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of Morrisons Daily Glenfield, located within Morrisons Glenfield Service Station.
The successful candidate will manage the convenience store and forecourt operations, supervise employees, maintain excellent customer-service standards, achieve sales targets and ensure compliance with all retail, health and safety, licensing and fuel-site procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Morrisons Daily convenience store and petrol-station forecourt.
- Lead, supervise, train and support the retail team.
- Prepare staff rotas and maintain appropriate staffing levels across all shifts.
- Monitor sales, operating costs and overall store performance against agreed targets.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales, improve profitability and strengthen customer loyalty.
- Implement in-store promotions and maintain attractive product displays.
- Manage product ordering, deliveries, stock rotation and availability.
- Conduct regular stock checks and minimise waste, shortages and unexplained losses.
- Oversee till operations, cash handling, banking and end-of-day reconciliation.
- Ensure fuel sales and forecourt activities are managed safely and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, presentation and customer service.
- Respond professionally to customer enquiries, complaints and service issues.
- Ensure compliance with age-restricted sales, Challenge 25 and refusal-recording procedures.
- Maintain accurate records relating to employees, stock, cash, incidents and compliance.
- Ensure health and safety, food safety, fire safety and company procedures are followed.
- Monitor equipment and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Work on the till and assist with other store duties whenever operationally required.
- Provide regular performance and operational updates to senior management.

Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in retail management, business, management or a related subject is desirable.
- Equivalent professional training or substantial retail-management experience will also be considered.
- Relevant health and safety, food safety or licensing training would be advantageous.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Retail Manager, Store Manager, Assistant Manager or in a similar supervisory role.
- Experience within a petrol station, forecourt, convenience store or high-volume retail environment is desirable.
- Experience managing employees, rotas, stock, deliveries, tills and cash reconciliation.
- Experience monitoring store performance and achieving sales targets.
- Familiarity with age-restricted sales and Challenge 25 procedures is preferred.
