Salary: £75,000 per annum

We’re looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead and grow our development capability. This leadership role oversees software delivery across new and existing solutions. You’ll lead developers, champion strong engineering standards, and work with stakeholders to deliver scalable software and integrations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing software development team
  • Oversee the delivery and support of software and integration solutions, ensuring effective resource planning and strong delivery performance
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical delivery plans
  • Ensure solutions align with architecture and data principles, development standards and are aligned to long-term objectives.
  • Drive development standards, continuous improvement and modern engineering practices

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience leading software development teams in a complex environment
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing and secure development
  • Experience delivering software and integration solutions in a cloud environment, using Microsoft technologies such as .NET, C#, Azure and SQL.
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience in housing, care or other regulated sectors
  • Experience with platforms such as D365 or NEC Housing
  • Interest in AI-assisted development or AI-enabled solutions
