Property Surveyor (Peripatetic)\\nLocation: Flexible – Covering WatfordArea\\nSalary: Circa £41,722 pro rata, depending on experience plus £5,800 Car Allowance\\nContract: 6 month Fixed Term Contract\\nAbout Anchor:\\nAnchor is a leading provider of housing, care, and homeownership services across the UK. Our Property Delivery team is dedicated to maintaining high-quality properties, ensuring resident satisfaction, and meeting strategic objectives through effective investment and repairs programmes.\\nThe Role:\\nWe are seeking a skilled Peripatetic Property Surveyor to take on a key home-based role managing property investment, inspection, and major repairs across our UK portfolio. Reporting to the national Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for budgets of £1.75m – £2.5m and play a crucial role in ensuring our properties maintain high quality and compliance standards while delivering timely services.

We have multiple opportunities within our growing surveyor teams, with a focus on regionalising roles to minimise travel and enhance project delivery within specific business areas\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n * Manage delivery of major repairs, investment, and project activities, ensuring properties remain in good condition within budget and strategy targets.\\n * Driving the successful contract administration and delivery of key national projects. Collaborate with housing/care operations and contractors to deliver high-quality, resident-focused services.\\n * Work with the Strategic Partnership Team to produce accurate delivery and financial forecasts and identify cost-saving opportunities.\\n * Undertake regular site visits, engaging with operational colleagues and residents to ensure actions are implemented effectively.\\nAbout You:\\n * You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in property management and building pathology. You bring:\\n * At least 3 years of experience managing property activities in a housing environment, with expertise in social housing maintenance or planned investment.\\n * Extensive knowledge of building pathology and remediation actions, with experience in project management for investment or maintenance.\\n * Experience in decarbonisation projects and interpreting operational data to inform service delivery planning.\\n * Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate across teams.\\n * Ability to think creatively, solve complex building problems, and deliver cost-effective solutions.\\n * Significant experience in building pathology within housing and working towards MRICS or MCIOB status (desirable)
