Anchor is seeking a highly motivated Development professional to join our team to support our business plan of building 500 affordable homes per annum. The Regeneration Manager will be accountable for delivering an agreed plan of targeted Housing schemes for redevelopment, significant conversion or extension.
As the Project Lead, you will undertake option appraisals on growth and regeneration opportunities on Anchor's existing assets, produce a business case and then project manage and deliver projects which meet the relevant financial requirements up to full planning consent before handover to delivery colleagues. Responsibilities- Project manage a number of regeneration and growth opportunities through to planning approval and contractor procurement, being accountable for all aspects of financial management, design team management and procurement.
- Adhere to Anchor's governance requirements in relation to new developments, ensuring schemes are compliant for funding bids making representation as appropriate.
- Be a key part of each area review process working alongside the asset team to identify and support growth opportunities as part of each review. Determining the priority and viability of possible redevelopment/infill opportunities and make recommendations accordingly as part of the Area Review process.
- Take forward to delivery stage, approved projects, managing costs, appointing consultants, controlling the brief and liaising with operational colleagues to ensure the optimum outcome.
- Liaison with key internal and external stakeholders to support business case and planning approvals.
- Where applicable seeking and handling grant funding. Manage relationship with HE/GLA and other external funders to secure support and funding for new developments.
- Proven track record of excellence in residential development.
- Knowledge of the housing needs of older people desirable.
- Cost management experience for complex major projects.
- Understands the needs and aspirations of various internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of developing existing assets in a housing environment.
- Competent with a variety of financial and asset appraisal models with previous use of PAMWIN desirable.
- Experience of appointing, briefing & leading multiple project teams including external consultants.
- Experience of writing complex reports with clarity and accuracy.
- Appreciation of stakeholder priorities and pressures.
- Track record in moving projects forward at pace to delivery.
- Experience in leading the development of innovative solutions which contribute to the organisations strategic planning process.
- Experience of meeting challenging KPI targets and service standards in a commercial environment.
- Managing and controlling budgets, resources and income both internally and external agents desirable.
- Experience of managing and working within multiple professional teams, complex projects or activities with a strategic influence.
- Sound knowledge of construction processes desirable.
- Understanding of different types of tenures desirable.
- Have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for business.
