We’re looking for a Deputy Care Home Manager to support the Home Manager in leading our friendly and dedicated team at Oakwood Grange in Barnsley.

About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the home delivers outstanding care to our residents. You’ll lead by example, support staff development, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the home. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior carer, team leader, or deputy looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the Home Manager in the overall management of the care home
  • Ensure high standards of person-centred care
  • Supervise and mentor care staff, supporting professional development
  • Oversee care planning, audits, and compliance with CQC standards
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external agencies

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous leadership experience in a residential or nursing care setting
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • A caring, proactive approach and strong organisational skills
  • Sound knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • A team player with a genuine commitment to high-quality care
