We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead and manage an Ofsted-registered children’s residential home. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is committed to providing high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards, and company policies while creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the children’s residential home.
  • Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team to deliver outstanding care.
  • Promote safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people at all times.
  • Develop and maintain care plans, risk assessments, and behavioural support plans.
  • Monitor and improve the quality of care and support provided within the home.
  • Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment, and supervision of staff.
  • Build positive relationships with external professionals, local authorities, and families.
  • Ensure the home achieves and maintains positive Ofsted outcomes.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a children’s residential setting.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role within social care.
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices.
  • Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare OR be working towards the qualification.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
