Support Worker Children's Residential (EBD) - Sponsorship available
Location: Greenhithe, Kent Salary: £14.50 per hour Hours: 37.5 hours per week Sponsorship: Available for the right candidate
About the Role
We are recruiting Support Workers for an EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children's residential home in Dartford, supporting young people aged 1017.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people, working within a dedicated, supportive team focused on delivering high-quality, therapeutic care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care, support, and supervision to children and young people in a residential setting
- Support young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, using de-escalation and positive behaviour management techniques
- Assist with daily living skills, routines, and personal development
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Support young people with education, activities, and community engagement
- Complete accurate records, care plans, and daily logs in line with regulatory requirements
- Work closely with the wider team, external agencies, and families to ensure the best outcomes for each child
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment
- Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
- Participate in shift patterns, including some evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins as required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working within a children's residential setting is desirable
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Resilience, xgikmsk patience, and a calm approach under pressure
- Strong communication and teamworking skills
- A full UK driving licence is an advantage but not essential
- Enhanced DBS check required
