Trainee Health and Safety Advisor Required Role – Mobile – Hybrid – Head Office & Site Family Owned Masonry Contractor. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Trainee Health & Safety Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees by implementing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, Site Audits and promoting safety awareness across the organisation. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and developing strategies to mitigate risks. Role will be reporting into the Health & Safety Director. Duties * Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. * Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in line with legal requirements. * Perform root cause analysis on incidents and accidents to prevent future occurrences. * Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance issues for management review. * Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and first aid techniques. * Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety throughout the organisation. * Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in legislation related to health and safety. Qualifications * NEBOSH or NEBOSH Construction. * knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices. * Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly. * Certification in first aid is highly desirable. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis. * Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. Ideally looking for Car Driver or hold a full UK Driving Licence. Mentoring and professional development offered with a view towards working towards HS Manager role.
