Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services for an experienced Dual Service Operative (Security Cleaning) to join our established team based at Longton Exchange Shopping Centre, Stoke-on-Trent. This role combines both cleaning and security responsibilities, ensuring the centre remains safe, clean, and welcoming for all visitors. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out routine cleaning tasks as well as maintain a visible security presence, responding to incidents and supporting the overall safety of the site. The successful candidate must have a valid SIA Licence as a minimum.
You will be part of a forward-thinking team that delivers a high level of customer service, assisting with the site cleaning and security and overall running of the centre.
Duties include:
- Protecting the client's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and site-specific procedures
- Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing offenders of policy and procedures
- Preventing and escalating incidents in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner to the Control Room/Shift Manager/Operations Manager/Emergency Services as appropriate for serious incidents
- Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
- Maintaining organisation's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
- React accordingly to any cleaning needs such as litter picking and reactive cleaning of spillages, mopping and upkeep of centre
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Acting as a first line support to customers and visitors to site, providing a professional and friendly service
- Understanding the needs of our customer, respond accordingly to customer queries and requests and take appropriate action
- Maintaining professional conduct at all times
Requirements
- Full 5-year employment checkable history
- Valid frontline SIA licence DS or SG
- Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
- Flexible to meet the job requirements
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Smart appearance and be well-groomed
- Reliable and punctual
- High level of enthusiasm and passion
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
