We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Cleaning Operative to join our dedicated team at Port Solent Marina. This is a varied, practical role in a busy environment, supporting the smooth running and cleanliness of a popular shopping and leisure destination.

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including:

  • Cleaning and maintaining designated areas in line with the site’s cleaning specifications.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of public areas, ensuring the site remains tidy, safe, and welcoming for all visitors.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the centre management office, ensuring workspace is tidy, dust free and toilet stock replenished daily.
  • Responding promptly to spills or hazards to maintain a safe environment for visitors, tenants and staff.
  • Operating site-specific machinery and equipment, including our T300 scrubber dryer.
  • Carrying out basic cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
  • Providing friendly, helpful service to customers, tenants and visitors on site.
  • Complying with all Health & Safety and COSHH regulations at all times.
  • Supporting the wider site team when needed, maintaining a strong team ethic and positive attitude.

Requirements:

  • A practical, dependable individual with a good eye for detail.
  • Willingness to learn and operate cleaning and waste-handling machinery (training provided).
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to customer service.
  • Flexible and able to work additional shifts when required.
  • Previous experience in cleaning, grounds maintenance, or facilities support is beneficial but not essential.
