An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services, for an experienced Security Supervisor to join our established security team based at Fiddlers Ferry Power Station in Warrington. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the night operations, monitoring site activity, responding promptly to incidents, liaising professionally with visitors and site management, and maintaining accurate records in line with operational procedures. You will be required to carry out regular vehicle patrols (using an on-site company vehicle) and manage site access via the gatehouse to maintain the security and integrity of the site. A strong presence, attention to detail, and commitment to upholding site security standards are essential to ensuring a safe and secure environment.
The successful candidate must hold a valid SIA Licence as a minimum. A CCTV licence is preferred but not essential, provided you have knowledge of CCTV systems. A full UK driving licence is also required, as the role involves carrying out site patrols using an on-site company vehicle.
Duties include:
- Protecting the client's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and site-specific procedures.
- Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing offenders of policy and procedures.
- Ensure all emergency procedures are followed and lead/coordinate effective evacuations/protocol, if required.
- Follow all escalation procedures with Anchor Group Services and the client.
- Assisting the CCTV operations including all files and documentation to meet all data protection requirements of GDPR, reporting to management.
- Oversee all day-to-day Security operations ensuring effective key/equipment control.
- Ensure security patrol schedules are being followed.
- Manage contractor work permit procedures.
- Ensure all necessary health and safety inspections/patrols are completed to maintain compliance of site procedures. Reporting all incidents, accidents, damage and near misses to the management team (client) immediately via verbal communication followed by a detailed investigation report.
- Actively maintain a safe, helpful, and secure environment for staff and visitors.
- Deal with queries and complaints quickly and efficiently and escalating when required to a senior manager in which it applies, reporting all cases.
- Prepare KPI information for management.
Requirements:
- Full 5-year employment checkable history.
- Essential: Frontline SIA licence (DS or SG).
- Essential: Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Essential: Previous supervisory experience.
- A CCTV licence is preferred but not essential, provided you have knowledge of CCTV systems.
- Customer service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner.
- Flexible to meet the job requirements.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
