Job Description

Job Role: Security Officer

Working Hours: Zero hour contract

Requirement to work both days and nights

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Location: A&P Tyne – Wagonway Road,Hebburn, Tyne and Wear, England, NE31 1SP

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services,for experienced Security Officer to join our established security team as aRelief Security Officer based at A&P Tyne, Newcastle.

Due to an incoming Vessel on site, we require a team of ReliefSecurity Officers to monitor the vessel, ensuring the vessel is safe and secureat all times by conducting patrols.

The successful candidate must have a valid SIA Licence as aminimum. You will be required to provide a high level of customer service tovisitors to the site, complete patrols and remain vigilant at all times.

Duties include:

  • Protecting the client’s property, people and/or assets byproviding security services in direct accordance with the sites publishedAssignment Instructions (AI’s) and site-specific procedures
  • Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities;informing offenders of policy and procedures
  • Preventing and escalating incidents in a timely, accurate andappropriate manner to the Control Room/ Shift Manager/OperationsManager/Emergency Services as appropriate for serious incidents
  • Completing reports by recording observations, information,occurrences, and surveillance activities
  • Maintaining organisation\’s stability and reputation bycomplying with legal requirements
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related resultsas needed
  • Acting as a first line support to customers and visitors tosite, providing a professional and friendly service
  • Understanding the needs of our customer, respond accordinglyto customer queries and requests and take appropriate action
  • Maintaining professional conduct at all times

Requirements

  • Full5-year employment checkable history
  • Validfrontline SIA licence DS or SG
  • CustomerService experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correctmanner
  • Flexibleto meet the job requirements
