Job Role: Cleaning Operative

Working Hours: 4 on 2 off, 07:00 – 16:00 (average 40 hours per week)

Pay: £12.60 per hour

Location: Port Solent, The Boardwalk, Portsmouth, PO6 4TP

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services for an experienced Cleaning Operative to join our established team based at Port Solent. The successful candidate will be required to carry out a range of cleaning tasks safely and professionally, to a high standard. You must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, have the ability to communicate on all levels, provide outstanding customer service and be flexible to cover additional shifts as and when required.

Duties include:

  • Cleaning of designated areas, ensuring the agreed cleaning specification is completed, as per the site instructions.
  • Patrolling the centre, remaining vigilant at all times to ensure any litter is removed.
  • Emptying of bins, ensuring recycled waste is disposed of correctly.
  • Assisting with preventing any site accidents by clearing any spills within an efficient time, ensuring the safety of centre staff and the public.
  • Use of site-specific equipment, machinery and handling chemicals.
  • Remaining flexible to cover duties.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Acting as a first line support to customers and visitors to site, providing a professional and friendly service.
  • Following Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
  • Service Road duties as and when required.
  • Understanding the needs of our customer, respond accordingly to customer queries and requests and take appropriate action.
  • Maintaining professional conduct at all times.

  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.

  • High level of enthusiasm and passion.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
  • An understanding of COSHH.
