Asset Analyst (Networks)
Location: Barnsley, S75 1JN – Hybrid (min. 2 office/site days per week)
Salary: circa £38,000 (depending on experience)
Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join our Asset Networks team, supporting the analysis and optimisation of water network performance. This role will play a key part in turning operational data into actionable insights, helping drive improvements in leakage management, network efficiency, customer service, and asset performance. The successful candidate will work closely with operational, engineering and asset management teams, analysing large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks across water distribution networks.
Experience within the water industry, utilities sector or leakage management is highly desirable but not essential for candidates with strong analytical capabilities and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Analyse operational, network and asset data to identify trends, reduce leakage and improvements opportunities
- Develop, maintain and automate reports, dashboards and analytical models to support business decisions
- Extract, validate and maintain from multiple sources and produce performance reports for operational and management teams
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand business requirements, provide insights and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Present performance insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, advanced formulas and functions, data modelling and analysis
- Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Due to the nature of sites on which we operate, the successful candidate will undergo a UK Security Vetting check.
