The predicted salary is between 28168 - 32889 £ per year.
Location: Birmingham, Gloucester or Oxford with field-based travel across Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.
Salary: £28,168 to £32,889 dependent on experience + overtime opportunities.
Role Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus telephone stand-by rota and opportunities for overtime.

As part of our essential front-line operations service, you will be joining a collaborative and dynamic team responsible for ensuring that our networks run as calmly and efficiently as possible. This is a pivotal role where you will help reduce the overall cost of water charges by accounting for all water consumed, as well as reducing water that is bought, but not sold, on site. This is achieved through using a range of leakage detection methods to monitor, minimise and record water performance.
Responsibilities:
- Accounting for 100% of water supply on to each of our sites and identifying leakage events.
- Carrying out reactive and proactive leak detection on MOD sites and monitoring the leakage system while collecting data.
- Recording relevant site data and feeding this information back to the demand management team.
- Installing and maintaining flow and pressure data logging equipment.
- Ensuring that all relevant site data is captured through detailed on-site investigations.
- Escalating areas of risk to the wider business such as water quality issues, supply risks or H&S concerns.
- Knowledge of water supply configurations and hydraulics by using site plans and schematics.
- Extensive technical expertise in all methods used to account for consumption and leakage.
- Knowledge of testing and inspecting fire hydrants and configuring pressure and flow loggers (training will be given).
- A good understanding of health and safety within an industrial setting.
- A commercial awareness to understand the cost impact on the business when making decisions.
- You will be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Meet the security clearance requirements for the role which includes being a full-time resident of the UK for the past 5 years.
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance which involves a Criminal Record Check and a full MoD Security Application and associated verification processes.
- You must have a full, valid driving licence and be comfortable driving a van (company van provided).
