Absolute Taste is a leading event catering company dedicated to the provision of high-end catering services to Formula 1, Private Jet Aviation, performance sports, high-end Domestic & International Events along with a strong presence in catering venues within retail. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Trackside Hospitality Manager to join Williams Racing. You will be working in an environment like no other! Onsite attendance at all F1 races and test events as the main point of contact, instrumental in providing quality trackside hospitality for the race team personnel, senior management, drivers and guests of Williams throughout race week. Live event management with superb front of house presence, first class service delivery, displaying gravitas and attention to detail born from experience within a luxury hospitality environment, ensuring guest satisfaction is paramount.
Leading and setting an example of a 5 star guest experience across all race weekends ensuring hospitality areas are presented to the highest standards. Responsibility, alongside Project Lead, for the management and development of the trackside hospitality programme, including liaison with partner management, guest experience and race team personnel implementing ways to enhance the guest experience. Concisely planning, organizing, and managing the daily operations of the whole trackside hospitality team to ensure continuity of service standards and efficiency.
Actively seeking guest and personnel feedback and completing pre and post-service checks and reports for dissemination to the team outlining lessons that can be learned and carried forward to the next event. Calm and decisive in challenging, stressful situations especially when handling guest and personnel complaints. Leading the OS&E set up and pack down processes and working with the Logistics Host to ensure inventory and security of all stock. Ensure all records and reports are fully completed, up-to-date and passed to the Project Lead and/or Williams contacts. Assist with future and adhoc travel arrangements for the hospitality team where necessary. Experience in deputising in absence of Project Lead.
Budget & Finance
Assist the Project Lead with a continuous feed into the realtime budget, as well as future forecasting and reforecasting throughout the year. Assist in tracking all Trackside Hospitality associated spend, including but not limited to; F&B, subcontract labour, flowers, ad-hoc equipment, flights, transport. Working alongside the Head Chef to assist with purchasing where required and ensuring spend is in line with the budget where possible. Follow company finance processes; raising PO’s, good receipts, submitting supplier invoices to finance.
Strategy
Working as an ambassador for both Absolute Taste and Williams to deliver exceptional catering and hospitality in a busy and demanding environment. Work closely with Williams to research and determine the Trackside hospitality strategy, to include working with other departments to ensure that the team is supporting the department wide strategic objectives. Uphold the team's identity to include but not limited to; overall look & feel, food and beverage. To be 'the face of the Williams brand'; to embody the Williams Brand values at all times and to ensure the trackside team are doing so too. Support with monitoring and maintaining overall morale of the hospitality team, paying close attention to the mental well-being of each individual team member and ensuring that their needs are always taken into consideration and acting accordingly. Using key performance objectives to develop and monitor evolution of the department.
Other
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all Williams stakeholders and internal teams. Be a brand advocate with guests and ensure that all of their touch points reflect the Williams brand identity and team values. Produce and maintain all packing lists for OS&E kit for each race, alongside Logistics Host with assistance from the hospitality team. Work alongside Williams logistics across the winter break to refresh inventory where required. Work with the creative team on menu design, place cards etc. and other creative elements to elevate the guest experience. Communicate and monitor adherence to standard operating procedures with all hospitality staff. Organised, punctual, motivational, and with varied communication skills, (formal, informal, international). To be conversant with all company codes of conduct.
