Summary
To lead the property and client accounting function across residential and/or commercial portfolios, regulatory compliance, and adherence to anti‑money laundering (AML) requirements, while providing senior‑level support to property managers and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing and issuing landlord statements and regular financial reports including VAT
- Acting as a key point of contact for landlords, tenants and clients, handling queries, and building relationships
- Chasing arrears, resolving discrepancies, and managing missing or disputed invoices
- Preparation of service charge budgets, accounts and monitoring performance against budget
- Investigating variances and providing insight into property‑level financial performance
- Ensuring compliance with client money regulations
- Client onboarding – carry out AML checks and ensure all relevant accounting and service charge information is provided
- Identifying and implementing process improvements as the finance function evolves
- Posting and reconciling cash transactions across multiple client accounts – covering this on an ad hoc basis
- Performing regular bank reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
- Raising and processing invoices, allocating receipts, and managing all outgoing payments – covering this on an ad hoc basis
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Experienced within this function, with a Property Management Accounts background and able to handle the duties outlined above
- A confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with both stakeholders and clients
- Approachable, a team player, and professional in your manner
- Experience across both commercial and residential portfolios
- Excellent communication and conflict–resolution abilities
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities
- IT Skills Competent with property management software and Microsoft Office
Working Conditions
Full Time Hybrid position with 2 days in our Shoreditch office (Wed & Thu).
