Your Impact
- The Associate Chief of Staff (CoS) to the SVP Global Engineering is a critical role that combines strategic leadership and operational excellence to be a trusted advisor and recognized leader on the team.
- The role is primarily responsible for tackling the SVP Global Engineering’s most important priorities through the orchestration of activities owned by various constituents across the entire organization.
- This is a highly visible and collaborative role that is instrumental to the success of the overall organization.
Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic advisor to the SVP Global Engineering, helping to define, prioritize, and operationalize the Engineering strategy. Partner closely with senior leadership across the organization to ensure alignment with business objectives and drive key Engineering initiatives.
Operational Excellence: Oversee the operational rhythm of the Engineering function, including managing the calendar, meeting agendas, and strategic planning processes. Drive efficiencies and process improvements within Global Engineering.
Consultative Leadership: Provide consulting expertise and thought leadership with the Engineering team and business leaders, leveraging insights and data to inform decision-making and implement best practices in Engineering.
Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on Engineering performance metrics, ensuring the Engineering function is delivering value to the business. Use data-driven insights to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Communication and Alignment: Partner with the GPTO’s Corporate communications business partner to manage and facilitate communication and alignment across the Engineering leadership team. Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reports for key meetings and run the Engineering Town Halls.
Change Agent: Act as a champion for culture and change, supporting the SVP Global Engineering in driving a high-performance culture across the organization. Influence and lead change management efforts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, working collaboratively to address challenges, align on priorities, and drive Engineering initiatives that support business outcomes.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Own planning and internal business operations for top management initiatives; monitor and drive all key programs and initiatives across the Engineering organization to ensure rigorous, disciplined follow-through and alignment to Anaplan strategic priorities.
- Master story-telling abilities that can be translated to creating and delivering clear, compelling, and convincing presentations backed by robust analytical insight.
- Comfortable with reviewing robust materials, analyzing and distilling down to critical insights and collaborate to recommend execution plans.
- Own key operational rhythms/processes (ie. weekly team meetings, offsites, planning sessions, etc.), including preparing the agenda, facilitating discussions, documenting notes/action items, and any follow-up.
- Develop and maintain solid working relationships with senior leaders and all owners of key initiatives and programs across Anaplan.
- Strong data analysis skills to identify areas of improvement across the organization and make actionable recommendations; act as thought partner to SVP Global Engineering and other leaders, proactively identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field; MBA preferred.
- Adept ability to identify and solve problems across multiple domains.
- Proficient public speaker and presenter.
- Successful track record in stakeholder management across all levels.
- Strong demonstration of grit and taking deep ownership.
- Previous experience in SaaS environment; preference for experience in both public and private-equity-owned environments.
- Superior PowerPoint skills.
