Program Managers partner with our Engineering and Product teams to plan and deliver software and infrastructure releases, managing program status, coordinating across multiple teams, tracking risks and dependencies, and ensuring the successful delivery of program objectives. Role SummaryAt Anaplan, Senior Program Managers are responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology programs that deliver value to our customers, as well as coaching and supporting other program team members. Mentor and develop other program managers, acting as a point of escalation and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the program management function. Oversee planning activities, such as quarterly planning and release planning. Providing insight by helping teams define and track metrics that align with program and business outcomes. Undertake tracking of progress being made towards project milestones and provide early identification of headwinds. Ensure clear project visibility for multiple audiences, including senior management and key stakeholders, through concise reporting that highlights progress against milestones. Drive innovation and adoption of Agile practices. Your QualificationsProven experience managing programs in a software product development environment, with a deep understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from concept to customer release. Experience in formally or informally mentoring and coaching team members, with a passion for developing talent within the organizationStrong leadership, team management, stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience with risk management, release planning, and program documentation. A deep understanding of various program and portfolio management methodologies (e.g. Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe) are advantageous.
