Your Impact

We are seeking a highly inspiring Engineering Manager to design, lead, and scale our Graduate Programme. This role is pivotal in building the engine room for Anaplan’s future growth, shaping the careers of emerging software engineers and ensuring graduates receive world-class technical training, mentoring, and coaching.

In partnership with senior engineering leaders, people managers, and HR colleagues, you will create a premier programme that cultivates the next generation of technical talent and ensures our graduates thrive in Anaplan’s fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of the Engineering Graduate Programme.
  • Define the programme structure, including technical training pathways, project assignments, mentoring, and buddy schemes.
  • Balance global consistency with local adaptability to meet regional engineering needs.
  • Partner with engineering leaders and senior engineers to design and deliver technical learning modules.
  • Integrate structured technical training with on-the-job project experience.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and encourage graduates to adopt industry best practices.

Mentoring, Coaching & Graduate Support

  • Establish and oversee mentoring and coaching frameworks that connect graduates with experienced engineers.
  • Ensure graduates receive regular feedback, development planning, and career guidance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for graduates, supporting them throughout their journey.

Collaboration with Engineering & Business Stakeholders

  • Work with engineering teams to identify meaningful rotation placements and project opportunities.
  • Partner with line managers to ensure graduates are set up for success in technical roles.
  • Provide coaching and resources to managers and mentors on how to support early careers talent.
  • Define KPIs such as graduate retention, progression into technical roles, and contribution to engineering projects.
  • Track and evaluate programme effectiveness, reporting regularly to engineering and HR leadership.
  • Continuously refine the programme using feedback and industry benchmarks.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in talent management, early careers development, or engineering programme leadership.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering environments, tools, and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver structured training, mentoring, and coaching initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with engineering leadership.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in measuring programme outcomes and demonstrating impact.
  • Passion for developing early careers engineering talent and supporting their long-term success.
