As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll support our production platforms, including participating in our on-call rotation. You’ll work closely with service teams to continuously improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. You’ll also develop automation solutions, collaborate with engineering teams across the business, and help drive platform-wide performance improvements.
Your Impact
- Mentor and support other SRE team members
- Lead complex changes and influence our operating strategy
- Identify and deliver impactful SRE-led projects
- Define and uphold standards for our operating environments
- Provide expert guidance to the development teams we support
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, contributing to sustainable long-term solutions
- Drive improvements in automation, observability, and reliability practices
- Partner with infrastructure teams to evolve and strengthen our platform
Your Skills
This position represents an excellent opportunity for a more experienced SRE to contribute to the future of our company; using their experience as part of a global SRE team to improve our platform’s resilience and guide us through the next stage of our engineering evolution. We work with a broad range of technologies, and we don’t expect you to know everything on day one. You’ll have time to learn our tools and grow into the role. We’re looking for diverse experiences to help strengthen our team.
- 6+ years of experience in SRE or equivalent operationally focussed engineering roles
- Experience of Linux administration will be a day-one skill
- Experience of operating live, production-grade Kubernetes environments
- Expertise in problem diagnosis across complex, distributed systems
- Proficiency in a scripting language suited to automation (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Experience with Git version control and modern CI/CD and DevOps practices
Desirable
- Hands-on experience with one or more public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with Event Streaming, Exception Management, and Integration technologies such as Apache Pulsar
- Experience with Stream-processing and batch-processing frameworks such as Apache Flink
- Experience with configuration management, and infrastructure as code
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring best practices
- Prior experience mentoring or coaching other engineers
