At the heart of Anaplan’s success is the power of our multi‑dimensional modeling engine, which allows customers to represent their most complex business processes with unparalleled flexibility. The Modeling team is the custodian of this core experience, responsible for making it ever easier to build, understand, and scale these sophisticated models. The work we do is foundational, touched by every customer, and leveraged in every single application built on our platform. We are now at an inflection point where AI can fundamentally revolutionise the modeling experience itself.

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager for Modeling to be a key leader in this transformation. This is a senior, high‑impact individual contributor role for a product manager who is passionate about applying AI not just to planning outcomes, but to the very craft of modeling. Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management for Modeling, you will be a primary driver of the strategy for how we infuse AI into our core modeling functionality as part of a shared, company‑wide initiative.

You will explore questions like: How can AI assist a user in building a better model from scratch? How can it detect anomalies, suggest optimisations, or automate documentation? This is your chance to help architect the intelligent model builder, creating a step‑change in power and usability for the entire Anaplan ecosystem. If you are a deep systems thinker who believes AI can augment human expertise, this role places you at the very centre of our company’s product and innovation strategy.

Your Impact:

  • Help define and evolve the direction for Anaplan’s modeling experience, specifically using AI to make model builders more productive.
  • Drive the product roadmap in partnership with engineering, ensuring delivery of high‑impact capabilities for our customers and applications teams.
  • Develop specifications, standards, and design principles for a consistent modeling experience.
  • Engage with customers, Anaplan CoEs, application teams and field to foster relationships and assimilate feedback and improvement opportunities into roadmap.
  • Support cross‑functional alignment across engineering, product, and strategy teams.
  • Drive end‑to‑end experiences: writing user stories with clear acceptance criteria, working with UX to create prototypes for usability testing and research, working with engineering, documentation, support, and marketing to deliver quality experiences.

Your Skills:

  • Experience understanding and building large complex planning models in multi‑dimensional products similar to Anaplan either as a consultant or as a customer.
  • Experience translating spreadsheets into multi‑dimensional models.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into execution.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience thriving in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience as a Product Manager in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software environment.
  • Ability to define and manage complex product roadmaps and technical requirements.
