Our mission is to decarbonise and improve battery production by helping the industry to shift to dry electrode coating. We work with the battery industry to optimise dry electrode coating, manufacturing better and more sustainable batteries at lower cost. Anaphite was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in central Bristol in the Southwest of the UK.

Summary:

Anaphite is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a motivated candidate to support our evolving requirements by expanding our in-house finance and operations capabilities.

We are looking for a proactive and reliable candidate to support our Finance and Operations Team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent attention to detail. As a Finance and Operations Assistant, you will provide high-quality administrative support for the team.

Ideally the individual will have a proven background of successfully supporting a business and the management team, have the ability to instantly build trusted relationships and work well under pressure in a busy and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for the Finance and Operations teams;
  • Monitor and manage the finance and procurement inboxes;
  • Ensure follow-up of emails are prioritised and responded accordingly. Coordinate with relevant teams if additional information is needed and escalate emails to relevant teams if necessary;
  • Ensure information and documents sent to the address are organised and stored appropriately;
  • Maintain Anaphite’s financial systems and processes;
  • Ensure financial documents are kept up to date on Xero;
  • Setting up new Suppliers and Customers in Xero via ApprovalMax;
  • Review and inputting expenses, invoices and credit notes onto Xero;
  • Assisting with quotations and sales invoices;
  • Working with colleagues and suppliers to resolve invoice queries;
  • Checking statements from suppliers and reconcile to Xero;
  • Monitoring Purchase Orders in ApprovalMax and Xero and maintaining accurate records;
  • Assist with reconciliation of bank accounts and Pleo cards at month end;
  • Assist with month end processes, weekly payment runs and monthly VAT returns;
  • Prepare shipping documents for sales, customer samples and external trials;
  • Set up supplier accounts and assisting with smooth procurement processes;
  • Assist with procurement across the teams and other general administrative tasks;
  • Manage or assist with small projects and ad hoc tasks;
  • Train staff on general financial procedures (e.g. how to produce POs).
  • High attention to detail;
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities;
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • Confident in providing office support;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  • Proactive and positive approach;
  • Reliable to deliver according to deadlines and
  • Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner.
  • Experience working with accounting and accounting management software (e.g. Xero, Dext and ApprovalMax);
  • Previous experience working in an office environment;
  • Experience with additional MS Office applications (e.g. PowerPoint and Word);
  • Have or working towards an accountant qualification (e.g. AAT levels 1-4) and
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g. Finance or Mathematics) or relevant experience.

  • £27,169 – £34,776 annually depending on experience;
