About Double Point

Double Point is a forward-thinking, client-focused accountancy business with a reputation for doing things properly and treating people well. We are a small, ambitious team and we are proud of the culture we have built β€” one that values trust, flexibility and genuine human connection.

The Opportunity

This is a genuinely exciting role for someone who is ready to lead, grow and contribute to something they can be proud of. As our new Chartered Accountant and Team Manager, you will take ownership of a varied and rewarding portfolio of clients whilst leading a small team of three talented junior accountants. You will be their mentor, their guide and their biggest supporter β€” helping them to develop whilst maintaining the high standards our clients expect and deserve. Day to day, you will be responsible for the preparation of management accounts, profit and loss reporting, and end of year accounts, alongside reviewing and signing off your team's work. You will manage client relationships with warmth and professionalism, juggling a busy and varied workload with confidence and keeping everything moving smoothly. This is not a role for someone who wants to be micromanaged or told what to do at every turn β€” we are looking for someone who thrives with responsibility and genuinely enjoys owning their work.

Who We Are Looking For

You do not need to have followed a particular path to be right for this role. What matters most to us is that you are a qualified accountant (either ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with around five or more years of accountancy experience, and that you bring genuine warmth, commercial awareness and strong communication skills to everything you do. You will be comfortable working with clients directly, confident in your ability to manage competing priorities and naturally inclined to bring the best out of the people around you. Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues would be a real advantage, as would a background within a Top 10 UK accountancy practice β€” though we are genuinely open to candidates from all kinds of backgrounds, and we will back the right person regardless of where they have come from. In terms of software, we work across QuickBooks, Xero, Sage and Gbooks. If you have not used all of these, please do not let that put you off β€” we are happy to provide training and support. We are far more interested in your attitude and your eagerness to learn than we are in a perfect software checklist.

What We Offer You

We think the best people deserve the best environment to work in, and we have worked hard to build exactly that. In addition to a salary of Β£50,000, you will enjoy full remote working with the flexibility and trust that comes with it. You will have real autonomy to shape your role and grow your career in a direction that genuinely excites you. You will be part of a close-knit, collaborative team that has your back, with a supportive leadership team that believes in developing its people rather than holding them back. You will also have access to a varied and interesting client base that will keep your work stimulating and your skills sharp, as well as ongoing learning and development opportunities. Occasional in-person meetings in London will give you the chance to connect with the wider team in person when it matters. This is a role with real substance, real people and real opportunity. If it sounds like the kind of place you want to build your career, we would genuinely love to hear from you.
