Overview

Established in early 2024, at Analogue Insight we are bridging the Analogue and Digital Worlds for Tomorrow through our Chiplet Solutions. Our core expertise lies in developing cutting-edge Chiplet technology that serves as the building block for advanced communication systems. Our Chiplets are designed to offer high performance, scalability, and integration flexibility, enabling our clients to achieve breakthroughs in computation speed, data processing, and connectivity.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analog Design Engineer to play a key role in architecting and delivering high-performance serial links for our state-of-the-art solution. You will directly shape the analog architecture of customer-facing chiplet IP, influencing performance, scalability, and roadmap decisions. This role is well suited to engineers with a strong level of technical ownership who enjoy deep, hands-on work in a small, high-impact team.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Analog & Mixed-Signal Design: Lead the design of ADC, DAC, RX, TX, and PLL blocks from architecture through implementation, optimizing for performance, power, and integration.
  • Architecture Definition: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architectures, understanding and balancing performance, area, and power requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise, guidance, and future mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Create processes and checklists to improve productivity and streamline product execution flow.
  • Simulation and Validation: Conduct extensive simulations, modeling, and validation of circuits using industry-standard EDA tools such as AMS and SystemVerilog to ensure robust performance and functionality across various operating conditions.
  • Hands-on Design Ownership: Ability to design from scratch as an individual contributor when no additional resources are available.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and implement design techniques to enhance performance parameters, such as resolution, linearity, noise, power consumption and speed.
  • Technology Trends: Stay abreast of the latest advancements and emerging trends in design and mixed-signal circuitry to integrate cutting-edge technologies into our products. Familiarity with competitive solutions and KPIs.
  • Silicon Characterization: Collaborate with the test team to define test plans and support silicon characterization efforts to validate and debug the chip's performance.
  • Design Documentation: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, design reviews, and data reviews ensuring efficient knowledge transfer within the team.

What We're Looking For

Must-have Technical skills:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, or related fields, with a focus on analog/mixed-signal circuit design with 10+ years of industry experience, preferably within wireless systems.
  • Strong expertise in CMOS process technologies, deep sub-micron nodes, and mixed-signal layout techniques.
  • Experience of analog design in FinFet technologies at 7nm and below.
  • Proficiency in EDA tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, AMS/SystemVerilog and familiarity with hardware description languages (e.g. Verilog).
  • Proven track record of leading successful ADC/DAC/RX/TX/PLL designs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, protocols, and compliance testing.

Soft & Professional Skills:

  • Clear, structured communication in professional Englishβ€”able to explain complex results concisely.
  • Collaborative and feedback-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
  • Strong ownership, reliability, and follow-through.
  • Curious, self-motivated attitude, eager to learn and explore new tools or methods.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in representing the company and handling sensitive information.
