Senior Engineer, Analog and Mixed Signal Design Verification Engineering – Precision Signal Chain
Take your Analog and Mixed Signal (AMS) Design Verification expertise to the next level — with global collaboration and cutting-edge technology — at Analog Devices’ Precision Signal Chain Business Unit! You will be part of a team of experts, each specializing in their own discipline, dedicated to developing the next generation of industry‐leading devices. These include ultra‐precision amplifiers, voltage references, and converters (DACs and ADCs). When integrated, they form a complete signal chain designed to address customer challenges in system design while setting new standards in data acquisition.
As a Senior AMS Design Verification Engineer, you’ll collaborate with a worldwide team, learn from the best minds in the industry, and verify pre-silicon IC’s that meet today’s complex semiconductor challenges. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor new hires and interns and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the AMS Design Verification team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create verification plans to ensure that pre-silicon design meets product specifications
- Work with design engineers to achieve high design verification coverage
- Develop and execute top-level test cases, self-checking test benches and regressions suites
- Develop and validate high-performance behavior models
- Verify block-level and chip-level functionality and performance
- Review verification results with IC designers and help debug any digital RTL and analog schematics design issues seen in simulations
- Support silicon evaluation by aiding in testbench bring up and comparing measurement results with simulations
Key Qualifications:
- Good foundation for key analog circuits such as Amplifier, Data Converters, Voltage Regulators, Level Shifters, Oscillators, Phase Lock Loops, Power-On Resets, SerDes, Switches and Multiplexers
- Proficient in using IC Design CAD tools for schematic and layout entry, modeling, simulation, and verification
- Strong analytical skills and advanced understanding of electronic engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge in the following protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, AMBA, Memory Controller, etc.)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl or TCL)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 4 years of relevant AMS Design Verification experience.
Additional Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional, global team.
- Demonstrated leadership and project coordination capabilities.
- IC design experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming, Hardware Verification Languages (System Verilog, VHDL), verification methodologies (e.g. UVM, OVM, VMM), Verilog, and C is an advantage.
Work Arrangement and Travel:
This role offers a hybrid work setup, combining onsite and remote work. Occasional domestic and international travel is expected for technical conferences, and team engagements.
