A highly regarded law firm with offices in a lovely location is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Solicitor to step into a pivotal Head of Litigation position at their Lancashire based office. This is a senior leadership opportunity to take ownership of an established litigation function, with a mandate to shape its future direction, drive growth, and maintain exceptional client service standards.

You will lead from the front—overseeing a diverse caseload of civil and commercial disputes while managing and developing a team of fee earners. This role offers genuine influence at a strategic level within a progressive and ambitious firm.

Candidate Profile / Experience Needed

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 8+ years’ PQE
  • Strong technical expertise across a broad range of litigation matters (commercial, civil and property disputes)
  • Proven experience supervising or managing a team
  • Commercially aware, with a proactive approach to business development
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Experience managing financial performance, billing and KPIs
  • An existing client following or referral network would be advantageous
  • Confident communicator with excellent client care skills
  • Able to operate both independently and as part of a senior leadership team
