A leading UK law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its award-winning Health Litigation team on a fully remote basis. The team specialises in defending complex clinical negligence claims for NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts and other defendant healthcare organisations. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality, intellectually challenging matters within a nationally recognised practice, while benefiting from genuine flexibility and a supportive, people-focused culture.
The role offers exposure to a varied caseload, with a particular emphasis on obstetric, neonatal and brain injury claims, alongside opportunities to develop a long-term specialism in this rewarding area of law.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed- Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE experience in clinical negligence or health litigation
- NHS Resolution Panel firm or MDO experience preferred but not essential.
- Exposure to EN Scheme and/or maternity-related claims advantageous.
- Comfortable running a caseload independently, while collaborating effectively within a remote team.
- Strong drafting, advisory and negotiation skills.
- Experience instructing experts and counsel, and attending hearings and ADR.
- Willingness to support and develop junior colleagues through supervision and mentoring.
- Proactive, pragmatic approach with a strong focus on quality and client service.
- Excellent organisational, communication and attention-to-detail skills.
- Understanding of client protocols, KPIs and data security requirements.
- Evidence of meeting chargeable hours and contribution targets.
