A leading litigation practice is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join its Leeds office as part of a senior solicitor leadership group. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with proven experience working in a process driven environment to take on a broader supervisory role supporting team performance, technical excellence and departmental growth, while managing a smaller complex caseload. The role focuses on debt recovery work but prior experience in this is not a necessity. Our client is looking for solicitors with good analytical skills who are interested in supervising and driving team performance.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
- 4+ years PQE.
- Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach.
- Previous mentoring or supervisory experience.
- Willingness to train and develop as a specialist debt recovery solicitor.
The role will involve:
- Supervising and auditing the work of more junior case handlers in the department on debt recovery work.
- Managing your own smaller caseload of higher value debt recovery and commercial dispute work.
- Advising clients on strategy, risk and outcomes.
- Drafting statements of case, applications and witness statements.
- Supporting junior team members and assisting with team performance.
- Working closely with senior leadership on quality and process improvement.
